West Florida Electric Cooperative Selects McLean Engineering for Storm Damage Assessment

West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC) of Graceville, Fla., recently selected McLean Engineering Company through a competitive bidding process to provide a storm damage assessment of its electrical distribution system. This project is a result of Hurricane Michael, one of the strongest storms to ever hit the United States. Hurricane Michael made landfall in the Florida Panhandle in October 2018, causing widespread damage over hundreds of miles.

McLean Engineering will inspect WFEC’s electrical distribution system to determine where damage has and has not occurred, and collect data at the damaged locations. McLean will inspect and collect data at all construction assembly units which were replaced due to storm damage.

McLean provides many types of system inspection services to municipalities, cooperatives and investor-owned utilities.
